A mentally healthy person is a person who is able to withstand any pressure and stresses of life and is also very helpful for the society aswell. Mental health problems can be of variety of types and can affect anyone without considering the age,gender or background of a person. There are alot of factors which can lead to mental health problems such as lifestyle,genetics etc. Mental health can affect a persons functioning and productivity aswell. It can also affect a persons’s behaviour to treat other person and thinking of the person. Mental health is very important for a person becaue it helps the person to function properly and lead a normal life as it clearly strongly affects the thinking capacity of a person. Bad mental health can damage a persons physical health as well as the social status of a person. On the other hand if a person’s mental health is good,it can help the person to stay physically fit and imcreases the productivity of a person.

Mental health awareness means to understand the rasing issue of mental health. Awareness can play an important role in helping to overcome this problem . By raising the awareness related to mental health, the stigma related to this grave problem can be reduced. Due to this the people will not feel reluctant to seek help and talk about their mental issue . World Mental Health day is usually celebrated on 10th of october and it aims to increase awareness regarding mental health issues.

There are 2 types of stigmas which are associated with mental problems. one is social stigma and the other is self stigma.Mental Health Stigma

Social stigma occurs when the people having mental problems are not treated well by the society and usually, they are labelled to be different and not normal which makes it harder for such people to express them to other people making their problem worse.

Self-stigma refers to the stigma related to one’s own feeling that how people will think about him if he/she expresses their problems.

It is important to overcome the stigma related to mental issues by raising the awareness and encouraging people to have open conversation related to their problems.

Personality disorder:

It is a class of health disorders in which person’s mood, thinking capability, behaviour and emotions all becomes inflexible and the person cannot adapt the thinking or behaviour according to the situation. Such a disorder includes diseases such as borderline personality disorder,narcissistic personality disorder and anti social personality disorder.

Eating disorder:

Abnormal eating habits are often caused by eating disorder. The eating disorder contains a number of diseases such as  bulima nervosa, binge eating disorder and most importantly anorexia nervosa.
